Fall is here

And we are ready for it! All of our Maon friends were happy to be outside in the sunshine and cool air. There was so much to explore on the playground after all of the rain we had yesterday as well.

Picking turkey tail to make tea

Pouring it in the pot

Watching water pour very intently

Mixing it up

Rainwater tea

Gathering together

"We're pressing it together!" - Ch

"Look at me wearing more pink!"

We explored citrus in our play dough and sensory table today, and built houses with blocks and other materials.

We talked about the Torah and practiced writing with a feather and watercolor ink. We explored feathers and painted with autumn harvest colors.

Many of our friends are excited about counting and colors right now. We find new and interesting ways to count and name colors all over our classroom!

Paint and play

Today we decorated a wall of the cardboard Sukkah in the outdoor classroom. Each class gets to decorate one side. We loved painting with different brushes, combs, and even our fingers. Then we used the hose to clean up.

We weighed small pumpkins and gourds, and examined what made them the same or different from each other.

We made paint using chalk.

And we painted our clay by rolling it in a box with paint.

Outside, we were so creative! We made lots of different foods to share, and explored everything around us.

Touching turkey tail lichen after pouring water on top to see if it felt different.

Exploring flowers with our senses

Looking under the bridge to find rocks and bugs.

Inside we enjoyed silly games with our friends and playing in the sensory table.

Shabbat shalom!
